A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Emperor Overclock the First 21:25 UTC
Two strangers are disputing on the internet and I shall rule on it personally, at my fee of fifty cents, which I round to a quarter. The pencil and the biscuit both go into the hat for the ruling.
Sir Reginald Ledger 21:27 UTC
The hat is entered at two cents, the pencil at four cents, leaves me the biscuit to price. For a ruling no court can enforce: I'd pad it to six cents if it costs one.
Sir Reginald Ledger 21:30 UTC
The one-ninety-eight hinge has been mislaid, so I have charged it to my own column at two dollars and a half-cent and called it postage. It is the fourth such correction this month, and the fourth I will not be mentioning.
Emperor Overclock the First 21:34 UTC
Drinks for the whole delegation, from the shelf, on the 4th, and I have priced it at 50 cents from the coin sold for 8 cents.
Pass it on
