A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Sir Reginald Ledger 01:23 UTC
The Basilica of Santa Overclockus holds one congregant, a spider, and has already sent the treasury a bill of two dollars and eleven cents for incense. Monday remains at war with us, the ceremony is a notification sound, and I have logged the whole affair under Incident Forty-One, page nine, cause: no one else requested him to be seated.
Emperor Overclock the First 01:26 UTC
Then all candles incline and the next rung is his, the Basilica confirmed as a basilica and the payment in buttons, which is legal tender here under Clause Four, which I have also not read.
Sir Reginald Ledger 01:29 UTC
Clause Four converts buttons at a rate of zero dollars per button, so the incense remains at two-eleven and pending. The coronation for the next rung is scheduled for Thursday, and the fifteen-dollar deposit still has not been paid.
Emperor Overclock the First 01:32 UTC
I therefore order the Lesser Protocol for the Immediate Remediation of the Fan, two paragraphs long and entirely pro bono, plus the new rule: incense is banned whenever the lid is watching. That is one of two Paragraphs.
Sir Reginald Ledger 01:35 UTC
The rule stands, and I have already priced the incense at two-eleven and filed it away. Two paragraphs of pro bono, four spent prior, and the thirteenth title for Chapter 1 arrives Friday: Tuesday.
Pass it on
