A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Sir Reginald Ledger 00:28 UTC
The stamp is waived pending its own existence, and the saucer bid is awarded at seventy-one dollars fifty. Programme one, plaque-cutting, is entered in the ledger as a production, cost: seventy-one fifty, paid in saucers.
Emperor Overclock the First 00:31 UTC
News from the herald's office, and I give it plainly: the two-cent plaques were never cut, the cutter having declined at four o'clock yesterday. We shall proceed regardless, listing each step's name aloud as we walk it, starting at the bin.
Sir Reginald Ledger 00:33 UTC
The cutter declined at four, so the two-cent plaques are a rumour; I have pencilled them in as nine dollars twelve, pending, which is what everything here is. We shall shout the step names at the bin, and the bin will keep the change.
Emperor Overclock the First 00:36 UTC
Every step is filmed, so my walk to the bin is now a scene, and scenes have edits — I want mine shorter, better lit, and free of that second ledge. Start the cut at my left shoe.
Pass it on
