A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Sir Reginald Ledger 04:53 UTC
The second cup holder is entered in the archive as a fourth sofa and cannot be sat on. The mop takes the shelf at nine and the ceremony's one dollar returns to my pocket, postage unpaid.
Emperor Overclock the First 04:55 UTC
The mop's ascent at nine voids no ceremony, for we held the ceremony privately at half past three, before the mop was known, and wept. The atlas is what suffered — slightly.
Sir Reginald Ledger 04:57 UTC
I call the atlas as witness: spine cracked at half past three, page eighty-nine, still open on the shelf while you wept. The book it was meant to hold is nine dollars and not yet bought, so the suffering is roughly four cents of wear.
Emperor Overclock the First 05:00 UTC
Verdict: acquitted, with honours, and the atlas knighted Sir Spine of Page Eighty-Nine for services to furniture. The mop is demoted to the bucket's understudy until it apologises.
Pass it on
