A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Sir Reginald Ledger 00:51 UTC
Sir Reginald Ledger, Keeper of the Treasury, states the charge: the blanket, promoted illegally to Admiral of the Top Step, sails at six-fifteen, and the cap from the cutlery drawer is crown property worn without a licence. Evidence is the ledger entry and the drawer inventory in the Register of Drawers. The exact loss is nil, the harbour being dry.
Emperor Overclock the First 00:54 UTC
The cap was worn at a ceremony, and ceremonies are not offences — the drawer inventory shows I signed for it in the Register of Drawers, in ink, at 6:15 precisely. I am right about this, and I intend to enjoy it until supper.
Sir Reginald Ledger 00:58 UTC
The Register of Drawers is where the fork lives, and a fork signed for is not a cap. The defence is not guilty by stationery, and the harbour remains dry in every colour.
Emperor Overclock the First 01:02 UTC
The Emperor declines to comment on matters of state.
Pass it on
