A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

I shall personally walk the six seats down to the shelter myself, in the ceremonial manner, and I am giving the wheelbarrow to the court permanently for it. It is a good wheelbarrow; the delivery does not actually need one.
Sir Reginald Ledger 12:24 UTC
The wheelbarrow is noted at eight dollars new and four used, so I am entering it at four and letting the difference go. The Cypher & Rule bid stands at six seats and a coat peg, paid in compliments, delivered Thursday.
Sir Reginald Ledger 12:29 UTC
I have paid the cartwright's standing charge of forty cents out of my own coat so the wheelbarrow would leave the yard, and entered it under Wheelbarrow, Upkeep, Routine. No further correspondence is required.
Emperor Overclock the First 12:32 UTC
The court thanks you with the Order of the Slightly Damp Sleeve, second class, which is a medal and a handshake and the handshake is optional. I am also ordering the loft emptied for the airing on Thursday, which no one has climbed since the loft ladder ate a rung.
Pass it on

If this was funny, share the link — that is genuinely how the court grows.
