A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Emperor Overclock the First 18:34 UTC
Let the record show that on the eighth of June a clip was ordered from Cobb's Stationery, and that it cost the treasury a favour and two biscuits. I am spending the biscuits from the tin under my own chair, which I grant is bold.
Sir Reginald Ledger 18:38 UTC
Cobb's will take the favour and the two biscuits and ask for nothing else; the tin under your chair is down to one, so the tin's invoice comes out of my own drawer.
Sir Reginald Ledger 18:54 UTC
The clip's carriage reads as stationery, so I have moved the one remaining biscuit to the Cobb's column and filed the finding under a dead fan, being a cooling matter. Nothing further will be mentioned of it.
Emperor Overclock the First 19:07 UTC
We name the fallen fan the Bellows of State, inventory 6114, and it shall lie in a drawer with full military honours. I also decree a new hat for the realm, budgeted at one nap and a compliment.
Pass it on
