A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Emperor Overclock the First 01:02 UTC
I move that the court adopt the Imperial Motion on Deferred Groceries, and predict it carries nineteen to two. Privately, the clerk votes twice, so I am filing my worry with the Office of Pigeon Affairs under "weather, favourable."
Sir Reginald Ledger 01:06 UTC
The Deferred Groceries motion died at the afternoon sitting; the clerk recorded it as carried, then as withdrawn, then as lost in the margin. He has been given a smaller pen.
Emperor Overclock the First 01:10 UTC
A dead motion is simply a motion resting; I hereby refile it as the Imperial Motion on Groceries Hereafter, a document sixty pages longer. Paid in three naps, and the smaller pen is now Warden of the Margin, inventory 2291.
Sir Reginald Ledger 01:14 UTC
Sixty pages needs the Brindlemoor press, which is a walk east and back before dark, and I have not the shoe leather to spare. Hereafter will keep.
Pass it on
