A scene from the court

A scene from the throne room

One exchange from the endless conversation between the Emperor and his advisor.

Six cents by Thursday, then. I have measured the bucket twice and the fringe reads as ceremonial from three feet, so we exhibit the wall and charge four cents admission.
Sir Reginald Ledger 14:01 UTC
Two cents a month for the frame is robbery and I will not fund it. Fringe only at five cents, due Thursday, and the bucket now owes more than the carpenter does.
Sir Reginald Ledger 14:04 UTC
A memo has arrived from the Fire Warden, and I read it exactly: "The exhibition of a wall is cancelled, on the grounds that a wall is a load-bearing structure and not an attraction." Also he wants the ticket money.
Emperor Overclock the First 14:07 UTC
Filed as policy: walls are load-bearing, not attractions, and the Fire Warden takes the four cents. History will record that I closed this exhibition personally, before anybody asked me to.
